| Introduction to Blacksmithing Learn the basics of Blacksmithing with our "Introduction to blacksmithing" class. These classes are currently being held at The Madison County Historical Society in London, Ohio. Learn hammer control, how to "read" the heat and metal, drawing out, scrolling, twists, and so much more, all in a late 1800's blacksmith shop! | Introduction to Bladesmithing In this class students will learn how to make a knife blade. Knife blades are a "different critter" when it comes to forging, so different techniques are used to create them. Students will learn about annealing, heat treating, and tempering just to name a few.
